Herbert Taschler

Herbert Taschler (born in 1957 in Toblach, in South Tyrol’s Puster Valley) is a freelance wine writer, sommelier and author of nonfiction books on wine, gastronomy and travel. He has observed and written about the wine and gastronomy scenes of South Tyrol and Italy, contributing among other publications to Gambero Rosso and the Wirtschaftskurier of the Dolomiten newspaper. His books include Südtiroler Wein- und Kellerei Geschichte/n (2017) and Südtiroler Vernatsch / gestern – heute – morgen (2018).
