Bernd Schiller

Bernd Schiller (born in 1943) is a German travel journalist and prolific author. As a reporter and editor, he worked for magazines including stern and Brigitte and for newspapers such as Die Welt, and traveled across all continents. He had a particular interest in the countries of the Buddhist cultural sphere. He published numerous books, radio programs, and other works about Sri Lanka, also known as Ceylon, becoming recognized as a knowledgeable observer of the island. He also worked as a freelance author for book publishers, magazines, and travel periodicals.
