Manuel Schmitt

Manuel Schmitt is a freelance author, director, programmer and animator, and a graduate of the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. From 2008 onward, he worked on book, film, audio drama and computer game projects. He became known on YouTube under the pseudonym SgtRumpel. Among other projects, he headed the web series “Let’s Play Together” with Gronkh and Sarazar and directed “#DeineWahl,” in which four YouTubers interviewed Angela Merkel and Martin Schulz. Together with his community, he developed the fantasy world of Alendia; in 2019, its connected stories were published in a book as the first season of the series.
