Michael Peinkofer

Michael Peinkofer (born 1969) studied German, history and communication studies in Munich. From 1995 onward, he worked as a freelance author, film journalist and translator; he also served as an editor for the film magazine Moviestar. Writing under various pseudonyms, he produced novels in a range of genres. He became known for the historical novel The Brotherhood of the Runes and for fantasy series about orcs, wizards and kings. He also wrote children’s and young adult series including Piratten!, Dinorox and Sternenritter. His works have been translated into 18 languages and published in 21 countries.
