Boris Koch

Born in 1973, Boris Koch grew up in the countryside and completed community service in a child psychiatry unit. He studied Ancient History and Modern German Literature in Munich, but abandoned his studies to pursue writing. In Berlin, he co-founded the reading stage Das StirnhirnhinterZimmer. Koch has written novels for children, young adults, and adults, as well as comics. His works include the Drachenflüsterer saga, the Ycena duology, and the young adult crime novel »Feuer im Blut«. His books have received several awards, including the Hansjörg Martin Prize and the 2023 Krefeld Prize for Fantastic Literature, and have been translated into several languages.
