Author · 5 books
Luigi Capuana (1839–1915) was a Sicilian writer and theatre critic. After abandoning his law studies, he worked as a theatre critic in Milan, Florence and Turin. He wrote numerous novellas and three novels and collected folktales. His novel “Giacinta” became a major success on publication; following strong critical opposition, a second, toned-down version appeared in 1886.
