Liana Tronci

Liana Tronci studied linguistics and Classical philology at the University of Pisa and earned her doctorate at the Università per Stranieri di Siena with a dissertation on the argument structure of the roots of the Caland system. Her research as a linguist focuses on morphosyntax and lexical syntax in Latin and Ancient Greek, including diathesis, light verbs, verbal derivation, participial constructions, and pseudocoordination. She served as an associate professor of general and historical linguistics at the Università per Stranieri di Siena and is a member of several scholarly academies, including the Société de Linguistique de Paris and the Societas Linguistica Europaea.
