Klaus Detjen, born in Breslau in 1943, is a typographer and book designer. Until 2009, he was Professor of Typography and Design at Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel. As editor and designer, he shaped the series “Typographische Bibliothek” and “Ästhetik des Buches,” published by Wallstein Verlag. His work received the Antiquaria Prize for Book Culture in 2014 and the Gutenberg Prize of the City of Leipzig in 2017.
