Katja Scholtz

Katja Scholtz, born in 1971, studied English and German literature and linguistics in Freiburg, Aberdeen, and Bonn. She worked as a translator from English and translated works by, among others, Gabriel Josipovici, Mary Lavin, and Julie Otsuka into German. In 2014, she and Julie Otsuka received the Albatros Literature Prize of the Günter Grass Foundation for Scholtz’s translation of Otsuka’s The Buddha in the Attic, published in German as Wovon wir träumten.
