Katia Mann

Katia Mann (1883–1980), née Pringsheim, was born in Munich. She passed her school-leaving examination at the age of seventeen and began studying mathematics and physics. After meeting Thomas Mann, she married him on 11 February 1905. She did not pursue her own scientific career, instead devoting herself to the family and supporting her husband. The couple had six children.
