Katharina Oguntoye

Katharina Oguntoye (born 1959) is a Nigerian-German historian who helped shape the Afro-German movement. In 1986, she was one of the editors of the book “Farbe bekennen. Afro-deutsche Frauen auf den Spuren ihrer Geschichte.” She also helped found the Initiative Schwarze Menschen in Deutschland and co-founded the intercultural network Joliba e.V. in Berlin, which she began leading in 1996.
