Karen Witthuhn

Karen Witthuhn (born 1969) studied drama at the University of Bristol and initially worked as a director, dramaturge and production manager at municipal theatres, in the independent theatre scene and at international theatre festivals. Since 2000, she has worked as a translator of English-language novels and plays. Authors whose works she has translated into German include Simon Beckett, Ken Bruen, Percival Everett, Anita Nair and D. B. John. She received working grants from the German Translators’ Fund in 2015 and 2018.
