Kai von Klitzing

Kai von Klitzing (MD, PhD) is a psychoanalyst for children, adolescents, and adults who served as director of the University Hospital and Outpatient Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychotherapy, and Psychosomatics in Leipzig. His research has focused on developmental psychopathology, early childhood, family relationships, children’s narratives, and the relationship between psychoanalysis and neurobiology. As an editor, he co-published the volume “Psychoanalysis in Childhood and Adolescence” with Phyllis Tyson and Dieter Bürgin.
