Johnston McCulley

Johnston McCulley (1883–1958) was an American writer and former reporter. He wrote stories in various genres, including crime fiction and Westerns. He is best known as the creator of Zorro, the masked hero who remained closely associated with his name throughout his life. McCulley died in Los Angeles in 1958.
