Johannes Ehmann, born in 1958, is a Protestant theologian. He studied Protestant theology in Berlin, Jerusalem, Göttingen, Tübingen, and Heidelberg, where he earned his doctorate and completed his habilitation. At Heidelberg University, he taught modern and territorial church history as an adjunct professor. In 2006, he received the Luther Prize. Ehmann was also involved in several societies devoted to church history and served as chairman of the Association for Church History in the Protestant Church in Baden.
