Joachim Speidel

Joachim Speidel was born in Balingen in 1960 and studied German literature, history and politics in Tübingen. He subsequently worked for almost a quarter of a century as a media editor at a media company in the Stuttgart region. He published short stories, novels and contributions to anthologies. He was nominated for the Agatha Christie Crime Prize in 2013 and 2014, and for the Munich Short Story Competition in 2017. In 2018, he received a fellowship from the Förderkreis deutscher Schriftsteller in Baden-Württemberg. Under the pseudonym J. S. Frank, he published the thriller series “SMASH99” and “RACHE” with Bastei Lübbe.
