Dr. Jing Bartz was born in Beijing in 1968. She studied literature, education and economics in Beijing, Kiel and Leipzig. She worked as an editor and journalist and held a professorship in business communication at the University of Konstanz. From 2003, she headed the Beijing Book Information Centre of the Frankfurt Book Fair. She has also worked as a cultural manager and publicist and has been involved in cultural exchange between China and Germany.
