Isabelle Autissier

Born in Paris in 1956, Isabelle Autissier is a writer and sailor. She discovered her passion for sailing at the age of six and in 1991 became the first woman to sail around the world alone as part of a race. She devoted herself to writing from the 1990s onward. Her novel »Herz auf Eis« (2017) was nominated for the Prix Goncourt, became a SPIEGEL bestseller, and was adapted for film as »Suddenly – Überleben im Eis«. »Klara vergessen« was published in 2020. From 2009 to 2021, Autissier served as president of WWF France.
