Erik Orsenna

Érik Orsenna (born 1947) is a French writer and economist. He was elected to the Académie Française and, alongside his literary work, pursued a passion for the sea. He received the Prix Goncourt in 1988 for his novel “L’Exposition coloniale.” His other distinctions include the 2007 Corine literary prize for “Weiße Plantagen” and the Lettre Ulysses Award.
