Hendrik Otremba

Born in 1984 in Germany’s Ruhr region, Hendrik Otremba published his debut novel, »Über uns der Schaum«, in 2017, followed by »Kachelbads Erbe« in 2019. His third novel, »Benito«, appeared in 2022; in 2023 he published the poetry collection »Wüstungen, Nebel« and the poetics lectures »Das dronische Erzählen«. Otremba also worked as a visual artist, musician, and creative-writing instructor. As the singer of the group Messer, he contributed to six albums, most recently »Kratermusik« (2024), and released the solo album »Riskantes Manöver«. His paintings appeared on record covers and in magazines.
