Heinrich Vormweg

Heinrich Vormweg (1928–2004) was a German literary critic, essayist, and radio author. He lived and worked in Cologne and published, among other works, “Briefwechsel über Literatur” (1969), co-written with Helmut Heißenbüttel, “Eine andere Lesart. Über neue Literatur” (1972), and “Das Elend der Aufklärung. Essays” (1984). He also wrote monographs on Peter Weiss and Günter Grass. Vormweg died in Cologne on 9 July 2004.
