Gudrun Ladurner studied European Ethnology and Education at the University of Innsbruck. From 1981 onward, she worked in vocational education for home economics and nutrition and served as director of the School for Home Economics and Nutrition in Tisens. For decades, she focused on food quality and advocated regional and seasonal products as well as sustainable eating and consumer habits.
