Gisela Getty

Gisela Getty is the twin sister of author and artist Jutta Winkelmann. She attended a Waldorf school in Kassel with her sister and studied graphic design, film, and photography at the Kassel Academy of Art from 1966 to 1970. Together with Jutta Winkelmann and her husband, director Adolf Winkelmann, she founded the Kassel Film Collective. In 1991, Getty also joined a communal living group founded by Jutta Winkelmann, Rainer Langhans, and several other women.
