Yanis Varoufakis

Yanis Varoufakis, born in Athens in 1961, is a Greek economist, politician and nonfiction author. He taught at universities in the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States, as well as at the University of Athens. From early to mid-2015, he served as Greece’s finance minister in the government of Alexis Tsipras. In 2016, he co-founded the European movement DiEM25. His publications include *Adults in the Room*, published in German as *Die ganze Geschichte – Meine Auseinandersetzung mit Europas Establishment* (2017).
