Florian Eichel

Florian Eichel (born 1979) is a German legal scholar. He studied law in Passau and Tours, received his doctorate in 2007, and undertook research stays in The Hague and Rhode Island, USA. After completing his legal traineeship in Frankfurt am Main and working in the litigation department of an international law firm, he became an academic councillor at the University of Passau in 2009. In 2014, he completed his habilitation in civil law, civil procedure, private international law, and comparative law. He taught, among other places, at the University of Münster and was appointed a full professor at the University of Bern in 2018.
