Felicitas von Lovenberg (born 1974 in Münster) studied modern history in Bristol and Oxford. From 1998 to 2016, she worked in the features section of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, joining its literary department in 2001 and heading it from 2008. She also hosted the literary program »lesenswert« on SWR television. Her work as a literary critic and essayist received, among other honors, the Alfred Kerr Prize for Literary Criticism, the Ernst Robert Curtius Sponsorship Award for Essay Writing, the Hildegard von Bingen Prize for Journalism, and the Julius Campe Prize for Criticism. In 2016, she became publisher of Piper Verlag.
