Eva Hesse

Eva Hesse (born 1925 in Berlin) was a German author, editor, and translator. From the early 1950s onward, she translated, edited, and commented on works by Samuel Beckett, E. E. Cummings, Robert Frost, Marianne Moore, Robinson Jeffers, Ezra Pound, and T. S. Eliot, among others. She received numerous awards for her work, including the Translator’s Prize of the German Academy for Language and Literature.
