Ezra Pound

Ezra Pound (1885–1972) was an American poet. He was born in Hailey, Idaho, and lived at various times in Spain, London, Paris, and Italy. During the Second World War, he broadcast anti-American propaganda speeches over Radio Rome and was detained by U.S. authorities in 1945. While in detention, he wrote the “Pisan Cantos,” a central part of his extensive poetic work.
