Emmanuelle Polack

Emmanuelle Polack, born in Paris in 1965, is a French art historian and author. She studied art history in Paris and Montreal and worked as an assistant at the Musée des Monuments Français. From 2012 onward, she worked at the Institut national d’histoire de l’art (INHA) in Paris. Her research focuses on the looting of art in France during the German occupation from 1940 to 1944. She also edited Rose Valland’s archival diaries and curated a 2017 exhibition in Paris on the art trade in France under the Vichy regime.
