Elisabeth Fiedler

Elisabeth Fiedler, born in Graz in 1960, studied art history, history and philosophy at the University of Graz. She began her career as an assistant director at Austrian broadcaster ORF and as a culture editor at Neue Zeit. From 1992 to 1996, she was a visual arts curator at Forum Stadtpark in Graz, where she organized exhibitions and symposia and edited publications. She subsequently worked in the office of the Styrian Minister of Culture. From 2001, she worked as a curator, author and deputy director of the Neue Galerie at the Universalmuseum Joanneum. From 2011, she headed the Austrian Sculpture Park and the Institute for Art in Public Space at the Universalmuseum Joanneum.
