Edda Minck

Edda Minck, born in 1958, is a German author. Her professional background includes work in a medical laboratory, a television studio, on the theater stage, and in a restaurant kitchen, followed by work as a freelance writer, author coach, and editor. She became known for her darkly humorous Ruhr-region crime series featuring Maggie Abendroth, including *Totgepflegt*, *Abgemurkst*, and *Umgenietet*. Her novels and stories combine crime with unusual subjects and black humor, as in *Das Schweigen der Aale*, *Biss zum letzten Schluck*, and *Trudy ist nicht tot, nur anders*.
