David Graeber

David Graeber (1961–2020) was an anthropologist, ethnologist, political activist and self-described anarchist. He taught at Yale University until 2007, then at Goldsmiths, University of London, and later at the London School of Economics. He also became known as a leading figure and thinker of the Occupy Wall Street movement. His influential books include *Debt: The First 5,000 Years*, *Bullshit Jobs* and *Bureaucracy*. He co-wrote *The Dawn of Everything: A New History of Humanity* with archaeologist David Wengrow; the book was published posthumously in 2022. Graeber died in Venice in September 2020.
