Daniela Pusch (born 1978 in Karlovy Vary) studied Slavic Studies at Philipps-Universität Marburg. She worked as a lecturer in Czech at Ruhr-Universität Bochum and Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and translated academic and humanities texts as well as Czech prose and poetry, including works by Bohumil Hrabal and Jiří Daníček. In 2014, she won first prize in the Susanna Roth Competition for emerging translators. From 2013 to 2015, she held a fellowship from the TransStar Europe project.
