Corine Pelluchon taught philosophy at Université Gustave Eiffel in Paris. Her work focuses on moral philosophy, political philosophy, and applied ethics, including bioethics, environmental ethics, and animal ethics. She was a member of the Hannah Arendt Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Political Studies and a fellow at THE NEW INSTITUTE in 2021/22 and 2022/23. In 2020, she received the Günther Anders Prize for Critical Thinking; in 2025, she was awarded the Dr. Leopold Lucas Prize for her contributions on animal welfare, the climate crisis, and pluralist democracy. Her works published in German include “Manifest für die Tiere” and “Hoffnung in Zeiten der Klimakatastrophe”.
