Christoph Horn

Christoph Horn studied philosophy, classical philology, and theology in Freiburg, Munich, and Paris. He received his doctorate in Munich in 1993 and completed his habilitation in Tübingen in 1999. After serving as professor of philosophy at the University of Giessen from 2000 to 2001, he became a professor at the University of Bonn, where he held the chair of practical philosophy and ancient philosophy. His research focuses on ancient philosophy and contemporary practical philosophy. Horn was a fellow at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin in 2003–04 and at THE NEW INSTITUTE in 2021/22. His publications include “Antike Lebenskunst,” “Politische Philosophie,” and “Philosophie der Antike.”
