Claudia Bozzaro (born 1980) is a German philosopher and medical ethicist. She studied philosophy and art history in Freiburg and Paris and received her doctorate in philosophy in 2011. In 2020, she completed her habilitation in the history, theory and ethics of medicine at the University of Freiburg. From 2006 to 2010, she worked at the university’s Department of Philosophy and subsequently at its Institute for Ethics and the History of Medicine. Her research has addressed aging, suffering, pain, reproductive medicine, enhancement and ethical questions at the end of life. Her doctoral dissertation was published as a book in 2013 under the title “Das Leiden an der verrinnenden Zeit” (“Suffering from Time’s Passing”).
