Christoph Geiser

Christoph Geiser, born in Basel in 1949, is a Swiss German writer. He has received numerous awards for his work, most recently the Grand Literature Prize of the City and Canton of Bern in 2018. In 1980, he was a German Writer in Residence at Oberlin College in Ohio. In 1983–84, he took part in the DAAD Artists-in-Residence programme in Berlin. Further fellowships took him to London, Paris, New York and Künstlerhaus Schloss Wiepersdorf. In 2000, he was writer-in-residence for the city of Dresden.
