Christoph Simon, born in 1972 in Langnau im Emmental, is a Swiss writer, cabaret artist and slam poet. He attended secondary school in Thun and the Swiss Jazz School in Bern. His novels include *Planet Obrist*, *Spaziergänger Zbinden* and *Franz oder Warum Antilopen nebeneinander laufen*; his novels and texts have been translated into nine languages. Simon received the Literary Prize of the Canton of Bern twice, became Swiss Poetry Slam Champion in 2014 and 2015, and won the Salzburger Stier in 2018.
