Julian Reidy, born in 1986, is a German literary scholar. He received his doctorate from the University of Bern in 2011 with a dissertation on the so-called “Väterliteratur,” a strand of German-language literature focused on fathers. He subsequently conducted research and taught at the universities of Bern and Geneva and at ETH Zurich. In 2017, he completed his habilitation with a study of spatial semantics and interiors in the narrative works of Thomas Mann. With Joanna Nowotny, he co-authored the monograph »Memes. Formen und Folgen eines Internetphänomens« (transcript, 2022).
