Christoph Cornelissen

Christoph Cornelißen (born 1958) is a German historian specializing in modern and contemporary history. His academic career includes a professorship at Goethe University Frankfurt and the directorship of the Italian-German Historical Institute in Trento until 2023. He served as dean from 2017 to 2019 and as a member of the Senate and Main Committee of the German Research Foundation from 2011 to 2017. His publications include *Europa im 20. Jahrhundert* (2020), *Weimar und die Welt* (2020, co-edited), and *Writing the Great War* (2021, co-edited). He lived for periods in Italy and Scotland.
