Christian Maintz

Christian Maintz (born 1958) is an author, editor, and scholar of literature and media. He has taught at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and at the Hamburg Media Academy. He received the Wilhelm Busch Prize for humorous poetry in 2002 and 2005, followed by the audience prize of the Menantes Prize in 2008 and the Wilhelm Busch Promotion Prize in 2009. Maintz has edited several anthologies, including “Kindlein, Ochs und Eselein” (2009) and “Komische Liebesgedichte” (2010). His poetry collection “Liebe in Lokalen” was published in 2016. Together with Harry Rowohlt, he released audio recordings and performed poetry in tandem programs.
