Burkhard Meyer-Sickendiek

Burkhard Meyer-Sickendiek, born in 1968, studied German, history and philosophy. He received his doctorate in 1999 and completed his habilitation in 2008. From 2010 onward, he taught and conducted research at Freie Universität Berlin, including as a Heisenberg Fellow and Privatdozent. His monographs address literary sarcasm, the aesthetics of epigonality, affect poetics, lyrical sensibility and the motif of depth.
