Christa Spannbauer

Christa Spannbauer (born 1963) has worked as an author, journalist, lecturer, and filmmaker. Her publications and talks have addressed socially relevant issues, questions of the art of living, and wisdom traditions from East and West. With neuroscientist Gerald Hüther, she co-authored “Connectedness. Warum wir ein neues Weltbild brauchen”; with Konstantin Wecker, she published “Es geht ums Tun und nicht ums Siegen.” Together with Thomas Gonschior, she produced television documentaries, including films about Holocaust survivors. Spannbauer trained in Mindful Self-Compassion (MBCL) and has practiced Zen for many years.
