Barbara Peveling, born in Siegen in 1974, is an author, anthropologist and journalist. She studied ethnology and history in Tübingen and Paris. Her debut novel, “Wir Glückpilze,” was published in 2009, followed by “Rachid Rebellion” in 2017. In 2015, she received the Manfred Görg Prize for her dissertation, “Zwischen Orient und Okzident.” Together with Nikola Richter, she edited the pamphlet “Kinderkriegen. Reproduktion reloaded,” published in 2021. Her poetry and prose have also appeared in literary magazines and anthologies.
