Barbara Imgrund

Barbara Imgrund grew up in the Allgäu region of Germany and studied modern German literature, medieval studies and comparative literature in Munich. She subsequently worked as an editor at several Munich publishing houses, including Hugendubel, Diederichs and Collection Rolf Heyne. Since 1998, she has worked independently as an editor, literary translator and writer. During her studies, she trained as a nursing aide and worked on a cancer and AIDS ward at a Munich hospital. In 2008, she joined a wild-cat research project in Namibia as a volunteer and later returned there several times. Her publications include the narrative nonfiction book “Wild Woman. Die Fremde in mir” and the novels “FreakOut. Eine Wahnsinnsgeschichte” and “Sonnenblumenblues”.
