Tahereh Mafi

Tahereh Mafi (born 1988 in Connecticut, USA) is an American author of Iranian descent. She became known for her debut novel, »Shatter Me« (2011), the first book in the series of the same name. Her other works include the »This Woven Kingdom« and »Woven Kingdom« series, as well as »Wie du mich siehst« and »Wie ein leuchtender Stern«. Her books have been translated into more than 30 languages and have appeared on the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists. Mafi has been nominated for the National Book Award. The youngest of five siblings, she also spent a year studying in Spain.
