Antje Wagner

Antje Wagner, born in 1974 in Wittenberg, studied German and American literature and cultural studies in Potsdam and Manchester. From 2012 to 2014, she headed the Prosa writing program at Literaturhaus Frankfurt. She became known for suspenseful novels and stories for young readers, including Unland, Schattengesicht, Vakuum, and Hyde. Together with Tania Witte, she published the novel Der Schein under the pseudonym Ella Blix. Wagner received, among other distinctions, the ver.di Literature Prize, the Leipziger Lesekompass, and the 2019 Phantastikpreis of the City of Wetzlar.
