Annika Thor

Annika Thor, born in Gothenburg in 1950, is a Swedish author. She first worked as a librarian and film and television critic before turning to writing. Thor wrote novels, screenplays, and plays, primarily for children and young adults. She grew up in Gothenburg as the daughter of Jewish parents. Her work received, among other honors, the German Youth Literature Prize, Sweden’s August Prize, the Nils Holgersson Plaque, the Astrid Lindgren Prize, and the Elsa Beskow Plaque.
