Alexander Pavlenko

Alexander Pavlenko (born 1963 in Russia) studied history, drawing and animation in Moscow and trained in animation. He subsequently worked at several Moscow film studios and illustrated science-fiction and adventure novels. Active in Germany since 1992, he created illustrations, comics, video art and graphic works that were published or exhibited internationally. His work includes the graphic novel »Herzl: A European History« and illustrations for texts by Alexander Pushkin, Oscar Wilde, the Marquis de Sade and E. T. A. Hoffmann. For Edition Faust, he illustrated »The Crime of Lord Arthur Savile« and »The Golden Pot«, among other works, and also published the graphic novel »FAUST« there.
