Achim Engelberg

Achim Engelberg (born 1965) is a German historian, journalist, and nonfiction author. He studied history and theatre studies and earned a doctorate on the writer and artist John Berger. Engelberg has published in outlets including the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, Blätter für deutsche und internationale Politik, and Sinn und Form. With his father, Ernst Engelberg, he co-authored Die Bismarcks. Eine preußische Familiensaga vom Mittelalter bis heute (2010). He also edited the new edition of Ernst Engelberg’s Bismarck. Sturm über Europa (2014), to which he contributed an afterword. His historical work has included research into his father’s papers held at the Berlin State Library.
